The success of the design speaks for itself. The teacher's bag is probably one of the best-known bag designs of all. A little more casual than the briefcase, less elegant, but more suitable for the colourful everyday school life. We have reissued this design classic: with the iconic front pockets and buckles, the elongated briefcase handle, the open-edged stitched sides and the sturdy, non-resting bag bottom. Solid saddlery made from 2 mm thick blank leather.
Despite its size, the bag does not look bulky. It offers spaciousness without austerity and heaviness. In the timelessly beautiful colours of our Classic Edition, the teacher's briefcase looks delightfully fresh. In the Patina Edition, the bag ages particularly well and will last you many years in your professional life. Over time, the leather develops a unique patina, which is typical only for leather made from pure vegetable tanning.

Maintained now and then with a suitable leather grease or wax, once or twice a year is quite enough (perhaps as a ritual at the beginning of the school year or half-year). If you value a tidy interior, the teacher's briefcase is your true ally. It radiates calm and clarity from the inside. Classwork and exams, teacher's calendar and pencil case, laptop or tablet can be found at a glance. The large main compartment offers enough space for a wide A4 file or folders and notebook boxes in comparable formats. A second large inner compartment is suitable for a narrow A4 folder or even a 17" notebook. Between the two large compartments is a zipped compartment that safely holds documents in DIN C5/6 format. Two extra-large front pockets make life even easier for teachers. On the left is the lunch box, on the right the pencil case with notebook. Thanks to the double-layered leather shoulder protector, carrying comfort does not get neglected. The shoulder strap can be adjusted up to a length of 150 cm. This means that the teacher's briefcase can be worn over the shoulder at any height. The bag can also be carried as a briefcase by the handle. The four-layer leather-covered handle is extremely comfortable to hold. The shoulder strap is detachable. High-quality snap hooks make it easy to switch between shoulder bag and briefcase.

In addition to our bags, we also offer pencil cases for teachers. Under the headings pencil cases and office accessories you will find durable cases made of genuine leather for every need: pencil cases with one compartment, double pencil cases with two compartments, pencil pouches, simple fountain pen cases, pencil cases with integrated card compartments as well as elegant leather cases for only 1 or 2 writing instruments. All pencil cases can be easily combined with the teacher's bag.
What distinguishes our leather
For all our satchels, bags and cases we only use pure vegetable tanned leather. This type of tanning with renewable, vegetable raw materials offers the advantage that no toxic chemicals or heavy metals are used. No toxic residues are produced either in the production process or in the finished leather. This is environmentally friendly and beneficial to health. Unlike most processed leather, our leather is 100% chrome-free. We purchase our leather directly from a German-based tannery that specialises in purely vegetable tanning. Our tannery only processes cowhides from the region. This ensures a good CO² balance and transparency.
Our leather is full-grain. This means that the grain side, the most valuable and stable part of the hide, is completely preserved. The grain side of our Classic Edition leather is pigmented. The leather of our Patina Edition, on the other hand, has a natural grain side throughout. The natural leather is undyed or barrel-dyed light brown and lightly waxed. Patina Edition leathers change colour when exposed to light. Initially light, the leather darkens and patinates very quickly under daylight. A wonderful effect that is unique to pure vegetable-tanned leather.
